Clergy Picnic

All district clergy and clergy families, mark your calendar now! Saturday, August 21, 2:00-4:00 p.m., at Victory Park in Albion. The “not new” clergy and their families are asked (and encouraged) to attend this time to welcome our “new to the district” clergy and their families. Grills, meats, condiments and beverages will be provided. Please bring something “pot-luck” to share. RSVP to Sarah in the district office as soon as possible.

Albion District United Methodist Men

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. My name is Wayne Willer, and though many of you do not know me, we have two great things common. By the grace of God, we are on a journey of faith through our Lord and Savior, and we are United Methodist Men. It is for these reasons that our DS, Tamara Williams, and I are starting the work of building a district UMM leadership team. The purpose is to encourage the building of strong a Christ Centered connection of United Methodist Men in the Albion District. I am seeking men who would be willing to help in this important effort. More information about this will be coming to your churches. Please be in prayer about how you can fit into this ministry. I look forward to meeting, and getting to know you all better. Lands of the Bible Cruise November 2010

Pastor Scott Manning (Constantine and and White Pigeon UMCs here in the Albion District) and Jody Pratt (Grand Rapids District Lay Leader) are organizing a 12 day cruise with Educational Opportunities Tours departing November 10, 2010 . The group will travel to Greece, Turkey, Israel and Egypt aboard the ship, Cristal.

Travel includes time at Mars Hill in Greece, the market place in Corinth, and the pyramids of Egypt. Also included is Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Galilee, with a final stop at Ephesus.
