About Albion District
If you are new to the Albion District
-
or the Albion District is new to you.
Welcome! The Albion District is one of six
geographic areas that together make up the West Michigan
Conference of the United Methodist Church. We are seventy-three
congregations, each with a unique group of people and a unique
life-story. We are spread out over some 36,000 square miles, and
though we include the cities of Jackson and Battle Creek , we
are largely rural. Theologically, we cover a wide area, too; but
we do have some important things in common. As United
Methodists, we are part of the world-wide Christian family. We
love and worship God, celebrate the "Good News" of Jesus Christ,
do things that help us grow spiritually, and live our faith in
practical ways that make life better for people all over the
world. We are the people of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open
Doors." And we invite you to explore both this website and our
churches. We hope you find what you're looking for - and we hope
you find that there is a place for you!
If you are already part of the Albion District.
WE HAVE A WEBSITE! This is
especially for you - a resource to help you find the information
you need, to help you communicate the news you want to share
about your congregation's current life and ministry, to
encourage you and others in your church to participate in
opportunities for spiritual growth and leadership development,
and to celebrate what Christ is doing in your midst! I hope
you'll mark this as a "favorite", and help us keep it
up-to-date. May God deeply bless your soul as you faithfully
serve Christ and the people in your community.
